River Hook is a 12- acre preserve in Upper Nyack, NY that is open to the public from dawn until dusk. There are entrances at 626 N. Broadway and 611 N. Midland Ave.
The beautiful old estate, part of one of the original 6 farms of Upper Nyack, has a multi-use path that winds between N. Broadway and N. Midland. Leashed dogs are welcome.
River Hook is a pack-in pack-out preserve. River Hook has no parking on site. There are currently no lavatory facilities. The buildings on the site are currently closed to the public.
The Friends of River Hook is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit group of local residents, dedicated to supporting the development of River Hook as a natural sanctuary of retreat and reinvention in Upper Nyack. The Friends present the Village Board of Trustees with projects and gifts at no cost to the Village.
