RCSC project at River Hook on 6/19/20

On Friday, June 19, environmental interns from the the Rockland Conservation and Service Corps (RCSC) will be clearing invasive species and brush from our River Hook Preserve, along N. Midland.

Later this Summer and Fall, the area will be prepared for replanting with native plant species

The Village made an application for this special one-day project before the pandemic hit and we are thrilled that RCSC has protocols in place to allow the interns to come and work.

RCSC has a a mission "To BUILD Rockland Pride Through Service." They educate, empower, and inspire Rockland County youth to make the world a better place. http://rocklandgov.com/departments/youth-bureau/rockland-conservation-an...

A dumpster for the brush will be parked on N. Midland by the gate. It will be removed on Monday, June 22nd.
