Work is Commencing on Path Improvements at River Hook Preserve

The Village is starting a major infrastructure project at the Preserve that is going to cause significant disruption on the site. We ask for your patience.

The project involves removal of the old macadam driveway through the Preserve, some regrading to make the path ADA compliant, and the installation of a new gravel pave path. This project has received major grant funding from New York State.

When it is complete it will be a significant upgrade to the Preserve and create a safe path surface for pedestrians and bicyclists.

There is a landscaping plan for the stretch along N. Midland that will be done in 2024.

We are confident that the outcome will justify the inconvenience.
