Upper Nyack Sound Law Limits Hours For Use of Leaf Blowers and Lawn Equipment

Homeowners and Landscapers!

Upper Nyack has a Sound Law that governs when you can use Leaf Blowers and other Lawn Equipment. The law balances the right to use one’s property in a reasonable manner with the rights of other property owners to enjoy times of quiet. Read the complete text of the law here. Offenses are punishable by a fine of $250 for the first offense and $500 for each subsequent offense in the same calendar year. Property owners, not the equipment operators, are cited for  violations.
